Dwyane Wade said he hardly was surprised by how limited New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowki was during the Super Bowl, two weeks after sustaining a high ankle sprain in the AFC championship game, one that ultimately required the type of surgery Wade was able to avoid. “I mean I knew it was going to be tough for him. But, obviously, it’s the Super Bowl. What do you expect him to do?” Wade said of Gronkowki, before the debate turned to Gronkowki’s post-Super Bowl shirtless dancing agility. “He’s going to go out there and he’s going to try. But I knew it was going to be tough.”As he watched the Patriots fall to the New York Giants, Wade said he felt for what Gronkowki could and, more significantly, couldn’t do.
